Democratic state Rep. Jason Probst has turned to an unlikely friend across the aisle as he seeks reelection to the Kansas House in a high-pitched battle in central Kansas.
Probst is getting help from Republican state Rep. Trevor Jacobs of Fort Scott, a conservative who has a reputation for fighting the Republican establishment.
The Hutchinson lawmaker is running ads featuring Jacobs in his campaign against Republican Kyler Sweely in a race where outside groups are spending thousands.
