The national League of Women Voters says its local affiliates are cooperating with the attorney general after he alleged that they violated federal law by handing out gift cards to students who registered to vote.
The League of Women Voters of the United States issued a statement on Monday responding to the attorney general who last week ordered the League of Women Voters of Kansas and in Leavenworth to stop handing out the gift cards.
