The Kansas Farm Bureau on Monday endorsed Republican Insurance Commissioner Vicki Schmidt for governor over six other candidates seeking the GOP's primary nomination.
Schmidt is running with the Joe Newland, the former president of the Kansas Farm Bureau.
"Vicki Schmidt has shown throughout her distinguished career in public service she’s willing to listen and make decisions based on what's best for Kansas,” said Farm Bureau President Glenn Brunkow.
