Former Shawnee City Council President Eric Jenkins has filed to run as a Republican in the 3rd Congressional District against Democratic incumbent Sharice Davids.
Jenkins filed a statement of organization with the Federal Election Commission and plans to officially file with the Kansas secretary of state on Thursday afternoon.
“Kansans are looking for leadership that will stand up for working families, support law enforcement, and put the interests of our communities ahead of Washington politics,” Jenkins said in a statement.
