A panel of leading lawmakers on Wednesday approved 49 interim meeting days for joint and other committees but delayed making a decision on meeting days for 12 other special and standing committees.
Lawmakers on the Legislative Coordinating Council want to take a closer look at special committees out of concern that the number of interim committee meeting days are getting out of control.
Last year at this point in the process, leading lawmakers on the KCC approved 82 interim meeting days . . .
