Overland Park, Olathe lead Kansas in population gains this decade; Lawrence and Wichita right behind

Overland Park has recorded the largest population growth in Kansas since 2010, according to the latest census figures out this week.

In sheer numbers, Overland Park outpaced every other city in Kansas, adding 17,906 people from 2010 to 2017, the latest census estimates show.

An analysis of the latest census data by the Sunflower State Journal shows that no other Kansas city added as many people since 2010 as Overland Park. The city’s population for 2017 is estimated at 191,278, up from 173,372 in 2010.

Trailing Overland Park was Olathe, which grew by an estimated 11 . . .
