The Sierra Club is calling into question Gov. Laura Kelly's support for the environment after she urged the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to back off exercising its senior water rights for the Quivira National Wildlife Refuge out of fear it would ravage the area economy.
The governor last week sent a letter to the Fish and Wildlife Service asking the agency to work collaboratively to find a solution to provide water flow for the refuge while finding a path forward . . .
